Awaiting the Lord to come by praying! Last Sunday, as a Church and as a Parish Community, we began a new Liturgical Year, and we all know that the Liturgical Year begins with the Season of Advent which we define as the waiting time for the coming of Christ, a time of preparation for that […]
Normally, at this time of the year, we put up our Christmas tree and decorate it with tags for local agencies that have members in need. However, with the pandemic this year, we have modified the program for everyone’s safety. This modification will allow us to still give a gift for others in need, but […]
Since Sunday is still the Lord’s Day, the faithful are encouraged to do one of the following if not attending Mass:
a. Read and reflect on the Sunday scriptures
b. Pray the rosary reflecting on the Glorious Mysteries
c. Watch the Sunday Mass on TV or via the internet.
Our attendance is first and foremost for the worship of Almighty God. The faithful are not required to receive Holy Communion every time they attend Mass. Those not receiving Holy Communion are encouraged to make and Act of Spiritual Communion…
My Jesus, I believe that You are present in the Most Holy Sacrament.
I love You above all things, and I desire to receive You into my soul.
Since I cannot at this moment receive You sacramentally,
come at least spiritually into my heart.
I embrace You as if You were already there
and unite myself wholly to You.
Never permit me to be separated from You.
Amen.

St. Mary's is a Stewardship Parish Community. As such we give freely of our time, talent and treasure toward the spreading of Gods' good news. We practice sacrificial giving by making God first in our decision making process and ourselves second. We first give back to the Lord a share of God's great gifts to us, then keep the remaining 90% for our own wants and needs.
